Employee Assistance Program

Rutherford County is excited to announce LifeServices as our new EAP provider. Employees are one of Rutherford County’s most valuable assets and we want to ensure that you have the resources available to you when you need them the most. The EAP is designed to help you deal with problems that would otherwise distract you from your day-to-day activities. Stress can affect you not only mentally and emotionally but also physically and we want to help ensure that you live a healthy and productive life.

In our efforts to assist employees in coping with life’s issues, we have enlisted LifeServices EAP effective June 1, 2009. Benefits that LifeServices will bring are personal counseling, referrals, legal consultations, legal forms, financial counseling, tax consultation, a robust website, wellness seminars, monthly webinars, newsletters, and critical incident stress debriefings to name a few. You will also find that LifeServices offers other work-life benefits including assistance with adoption, child care, elder care, grief and loss, marital issues, teen issues, college, addiction, health and wellness, automotive, home improvement, moving, safety, travel, identity theft, and more.

All employees, household members, and dependents living out of the home are encouraged to use these services on a voluntary basis. Services provided by LifeServices EAP are completely confidential. The County is not provided with names of individuals who use the service.

Rutherford County feels fortunate to be able to provide this benefit for free to each of their employees, household members, or dependents living out of the home with six counseling visits per problem with a licensed and qualified counselor. Legal consultations are free for the first 30 minutes per incident and you may seek consultation by phone or face to face. You may secure additional legal and financial time at a 25% discount once you have surpassed the 30 free minutes.
